Description:

Within the UK corporate governance code, there are now clear requirements that make sure companies are engaging with their workforce. One way to make sure employees are properly represented is by appointing a dedicated employee director. Capita is one of many companies who’ve done exactly that, so we spoke to their group company secretary to find out how they’re making a difference for their employees.

Pose your questions, thoughts or concerns during our live Q&A.

Francesca Todd

Speaker: Francesca Todd,

Group Company Secretary, Capita

Francesca qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1995 and joined Capita in 2006, initially to run the outsourced Company Secretary business for Capita Asset Services (which we subsequently sold in 2017). She moved to the Group team in 2008 as Deputy Company Secretary and was promoted to Group Company Secretary in 2014. Francesca have always loved the variety of work which crosses all the Capita businesses, supporting the local boards and joint ventures. Francesca feels very privileged to see and hear all the Board discussions and decision making.

Lyndsay is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Scotland) and has undertaken various finance roles in insurance and financial services since joining Capita in 2003.
